Apart from the scuba diving what else is there to do in Kas?
Snorkeling and fishing, especially in the waters around the Peninsula. (We can lend you a rod.)
Guided walking and mountain hiking excursions, especially the Lycian Way.(See links). The flora is beautiful in early winter and in the Spring.
Mountain biking, horse riding and jeep expeditions in the Taurus Mountains and around the coastal paths. All levels... from easy to very adventurous.
Paddle a canoe down the Essen River to the sea at Patara, pass the ruins of Xanthos. With a barbeque on the way.
Sea-kayaking is an ideal, low-impact way to explore the coastline and the sunken ruins of Kekova.

Walk the canyon at Saklıkent Gorge. Combine it with a meal at one of the floating restaurants.
For the more adventurous, don a wetsuit and helmet and go canyoning for real... down fantastic white water gorges.
Paragliding - jump off and ride the thermals landing at the Marina.
Sailing, wind surfing, boating - charter a gulet for a party for the day. Surprisingly cheap and usually includes an on-board BBQ.
Hire a car or scooter to explore the nearby towns and countryside. Include a trip up into the mountains to the cool green lake at Gombe.
Take a visit to one of the local artists colonies and do some painting, mosaics or pottery.
A trip to the barbers, including a massage, is an interesting experience that should not be missed.

Kapitas Beach Between Kas and Kalkan. A good sized, almost sandy, beach. It can also be reached by car or dolmus. Combine a visit with a look into the Mavi (Blue) sea cave nearby.

Excursions in glass bottomed boats around the coast to Kekova and Simena. Stunning scenery.
Visit Greece. Meis is a Greek island stranded just three nautical miles off the coast from Kas and it is the furthest Greek territory from their mainland, which makes it rather isolated. Known to the Greeks as Kastellorizo it used to be a close trading partner with Kalkan and Kas. Daily trips run from the harbour.
